When it comes to intellectual property, every entrepreneur should have it in mind if they want to launch a product. There are different things that come to minds.
Some of the things that need to be protected are the name of the company or the logo. In most cases, if you are launching a company, the product that you are launching is already there or something similar but having a different logo or different name. In this case, it is better to use the Trademark to avoid someone from stealing it because it is what represents the company
There are different ways to protect an intellectual property, but after some research, I decided to go with both Patents and Copyright. The reason, I am going to use these two first is because I am going to be creating a software company. All that is to avoid that employee that quit or a competitor to use the design or the code of our software. In most cases, some people or companies will try to steal features that you have in your product, by hiring of your employees that quitted. If you have a patent on your product, they will not be able to use it because they are going to avoid being sued.
Last and not least, Using Trade Secrets. Each company has their secret, something that they provide that other companies do not have such as different features. This helps you get an advantage in the market with the competition.
